in reply to bazoora's question...

We call going to church as "Worship Service"... this is where you gather with other believers to worship God by singing praise, praying together, listen to God's message (sermon ba kumbaga), fellowship (tsika tsika sa mga tao)... and you get the opportunity to be "encouraged" as a christian by other christians. There are so many things that happen to our soul when we go to church and have fellowship with others without us really realizing it.

When we stop going to church, we don't get that "chance and opportunity" of spiritual (emotional) uplifting and feeding. We are not allowing ourselves to be blessed. By blessed, i mean allowing God to touch our heart and spirit.

And... when we no longer go to church... unti unti ka ng manlalamig.

an analogy

attending mass is like having dinner at the table with the whole family.

yes, you can eat dinner alone. you can eat anytime you want to, you can eat dinner early at 3pm or eat late at 9pm. you can eat in front of the tv or in front of your computer. you can eat in your room or even in the bathroom. but wouldn't you agree that it is better and necessary if kahit once a week you will have dinner on the table with all the other members of your family?

likewise, you can pray to god alone. you can pray anytime and anywhere. but it will also be good for you if you come and pray together with the rest of God's family and partake of God's food in his table at the altar.

he's given us 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week. isang oras lang sa isang araw sa isang linggo ang hiling nya, mahirap pa bang gawin yun?
